Did compulsory duty in the South African Defence Force at 2 S.A. Infantry Battalion in Walvis Bay and in Rundu during 1969. Moved to Pretoria, South Africa to start studies in Dentistry in 1970. Married to Grete with a son, Volker. (Volker finished his studies in Munich, Germany in megatronics and electro technic)
